The Hôtels au Naturel label was created in 1998 by hoteliers that pioneered sustainable tourism and the promotion of their natural parks, in association with the Federation of Regional Natural Parks. The Hôtels au Naturel brand brings together 17 establishments located across 8 different regional natural parks, and 2 more on the border of the Ballons des Vosges and Causses du Quercy regional natural parks. All are members of the Hôtels au Naturel group.

Your hotel is in an area that is preserved and perfectly suited to nature tourism. It is located in an exceptional area such as a regional natural park, a national park, an area that will gain such a designation in the future, or an area that borders such a zone. (e.g. classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site, etc.)

Through its day-to-day operations and beyond environmental management, the group focuses on hoteliers’ actions that favour the development and enhancement of the local area.
This is reflected in the partnerships established with the local economic players (craftsmen, shopkeepers, farmers, tourism service providers, etc.), but also in the enhancement of heritage (built, environmental, economic, etc.), communication with guests and encouraging them to discover these heritages and meet local stakeholders, and the promotion of all outdoor activities, except for motorised recreation.
Every Hôtel au Naturel has its own character, its own atmosphere. Each one is different to the next, thanks to each hotelier’s independence.
They all share the same philosophy, however, the same vision of responsible tourism, the same proximity to the region, the same desire to share the pleasure of living there.
They use renewable energies, depending on their geographical location, real estate opportunities and administrative constraints.
