Situation

Nestled in a little valley below the Vosgien crests and the Grand Ballon, at an altitude of 700m, the Auberge du Mehrbachel will charm you with its green surroundings and incite you to rest and relax.

The Kornacker family welcomes you with the same spirit for 4 generations. Come and discover the riches of our cuisine and the friendly atmosphere of our little green haven.

The Auberge has 19 quiet, comfortable rooms with ensuite bathrooms equipped with shower or bath and toilet. All rooms have television and a telephone.

Come and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside surrounded by wildlife. It’s the ideal destination to reconnect with Mother Nature and to forget the hustle and bustle of everday life.

It’s the perfect starting point for hikes of different lengths and steepness, which in turn will whet your appetite to taste our chef’s dishes.

Regional Natural Park

Within the Ballons des Vosges Natural Park, we are situated on the hillside of the Grand Ballon, which is the highest summit of the range, at an altitude of 1,424m.

Restaurant

You’ll find Alsatian specialties such as garnished sauerkraut, Baeckaoffa and Surlawerla. But also, as a member of the Trout Route, we offer a wide array of trout dishes fresh from the fish ponds.

Breakfast

Sweet and savoury buffet including dairy products from our farm (milk, butter, cheese, yoghurts, flan, cream cheese), ham and sausage meats from the village butcher, cakes and Kougelhopf and home made jams, as well as bread from the village bakery. Gluten free and/or lactose free produce available on request.
